How to nominate and criteria for PMOY

The Practice Manager of the Year award will be given annually to an individual recognized by their peers, employer and team members for contributions to the advancement of veterinary management and excellence in leadership.

The selection process is based on:

  • Anominee must be amember of the Veterinaryanagement Council of Connecticut (VMCC).
  • A nominee must be working as a practice manger or performing related tasks in a practice for at least last two years
  • Achievement of excellence in leadership as a veterinary practice manager(Nominee must beresponsible for achievements that have significant and positive impact of the

overall well-being of the practice. Set the best example of professionalism work ethic, and compassion in their practice. Support continued education and growth within their practice team and themselves.)

  • Community service or public education as it relates to veterinary medicine or animal welfare (This contribution can be through volunteerism at a local shelter or rescue organization, participation in a school or community based
    program that educates the public about veterinary medicine or animal welfare or promotion and support of activities and events that benefit animals and pet owners in the community).

To nominate a practice manager for this award, fill out the online form or download the “Practice Manager of the Year” nomination form and submit.

Each nomination may also include up to three letters of support (not to exceed one single-sided typed page each) for the nomination from practice owners, practice employees, clients or VMCC members.

The deadline for submission is November 1st, 2021. All nominees will be reviewed by VMCC Practice Manager of the Year award committee. The award
recipient will be announced in November at the annual VMCC meeting.
